Vision Journaling Week 1

I am taking the True North Arts Vision Journaling Workshop with Kathryn Antyr and am finding it very helpful in facilitating my creative journey. At this point I have created the journal collage for the first week which is pictured below and have started on making the ATCs to go with it. I wrote out a list of intentions for the ATC cards on my lunch break at work and keep a notebook handy there to record creative thoughts that come. This whole vision journaling process has given me more awareness of things that I am struggling with and how to address these things.

what a beautiful page! It’s so good to know what you need to help make creating easier and it sounds like you’re finding a lot of clarity about what you need!

Oooh I’m happy to hear that you cat didn’t get hurt by the candle’s flame. If candles are not your thing, perhaps music might be a good relaxation que, or incense, or ringing a bell. Although I have a spare room that is dedicated to creating, I still find my kitchen table is my favorite place to journal. I have a one drawer/one file cabinet thingie on rollers that I keep near the kitchen table. It is small enough to not get in the way. On the top of it is a little tub that I toss my supplies. Other supplies are tucked in the top drawer. The bottom has hanging files where I can keep papers organized. This has really helped to keep my creative stuff close by. My creative room needs some major organizing and stores what I’m not currently using. I think you’ll find that your creativity will soar once your’ve cleared the decks, so to speak. Great quote on your collage, “Give the gift of creativity.” I resonate with all of the keywords on the collage. I imagine my creativity flowing like the water pictured in the waterfall. The colorful leaves and butterflies hold a lot of great metaphors. Thank you for sharing your journal. I can’t wait to see more of your vision unfold in the weeks to come.
